Shelf02⁄09
Stable on its own
Individual shelves are milled at a slight angle so books or records don't tip forward.
In detail
Instead of perfectly level, horizontal shelves, one or more compartments are milled with a slight backward tilt (the shelf surface tips minimally toward the back panel). Books, magazines or records standing on them lean back slightly by themselves and cannot tip forward out of the shelf – with no extra bookends or other aids. Solved purely by milling the shelf surface, with no moving or additional parts.
Material
Plywood
Multi-layer glued, so it stays dimensionally stable and resists warping – with the characteristic striped edge that remains visible on every cut. Finish in natural or black.
